Timeless Elegance, Modern Precision: Explore the TLS Rehoused Zeiss B Speed Lenses
TLS has refurbished our classic Zeiss B-Speeds cinema lenses, a process that often involves photo lenses but is equally thrilling for vintage cinema lenses. Originally, our B-Speeds were well-liked but had drawbacks like a 180-degree focus rotation and the absence of internal focus, making them less favored by camera assistants. They also required frequent maintenance. The rehoused lenses now feature a cam-driven internal focus, an extended focus scale, and reliable mechanics. This upgrade retains the visual appeal of these distinguished cinema lenses while adding the benefits of modern mechanical design. Additional enhancements include better close focus capabilities for the 50mm and 85mm lenses. However, we’ve preserved the unique irises, known for their distinctive curved triangular bokeh when stopped down, maintaining their exceptional and irreplaceable visual effect.
The set currently contains 4 lenses: 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm with 18mm lens expected to join soon.
